Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Let's move forward & murder these. 1-0 will do me fine though
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 (edited) From left to right 2 in La Liga and 2 in the CL qualifiers. Main set up seems to be 4 at the back and 1 upfront. The forward position seems to be a decision between Ben Yedder (18 goals in 42 games last season) and new arrival from Sampdoria, Luis Murial (13 goals in 33 games for Samp)Midfield seems to be a midfield 3 with 2 wide-men (last 2 games have been ex-City wide players - Nolito and Navas)No established CB partnership so far it seems this season Pareja is their captain, centre half, 33, Argentinian. You'd have to imagine he's a wiley pro on that information aloneLast season they opened their CL campaign with a 0-0 draw away to Juve with 3 of the back 4 you see in the first graphic - no Kjaer. Cam Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Play our best goalkeeper.Play our best defenders.Play a balance in midfield between defensive support, creativity & goal threat.Play Mane.Play Coutinho.
Lark Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Really want us to smash these any which way we can. Cant wait for Wednesday.
Nebraska Red Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Moreno v Sevilla. What could go wrong? You have to believe he is not starting this game.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 You have to believe he is not starting this game. I think you have to believe that he is considered at the top of the pile for LB. Without getting into the argument of "should he", it seems the Moreno debate is about "will he". Robertson has no European experience. Given Moreno's starts and Robertson has only started vs Palace, I think Moreno plays.

Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 When is best for him to get some experience? The first home game in the group stage I would say I think this is a game that Klopp puts out his best team. We've been away from the knock-out stages for ages and to get there, the home games are key. Winning this is huge for Klopp I imagine. If Moreno and Robertson are equal in terms of fitness/prep etc then I think Moreno starts. If your asking me for my personal choice, I'd have flung Robertson in for 10 games to see how he gets on and let Moreno walk his dogs.
McBain Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 More about whether TAA should start.Gomez was outstanding v arsenal. It seemed harsh dropping him and I hope that's reversed for this
Maldini Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) Klopp said Lovren and Gomez were both leggy after playing both games while away Edited September 10, 2017 by Maldini

Billy Talbot Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Very important we win our home games, we're more or less in a group of 3. Win the home games and get a result away from Seville or Moscow and we're through. Don't win our home games and we will probably need at least one away win that's not away at Maribor. A team will go out in our group with a lot of points. Maribor might not get any.
rednotdead Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Nolito is out for them with a hamstring injury.

The fixtures have worked out pretty much exactly how you'd pick them by hand as well. Beat Sevilla and Moscow in the first two games and we should be through after 4 games.

Yeah, it can make for a tough group if you don't win your home games and have to go hunting for away wins against the other 2 top sides. As we found.
stressederic Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Can we just f***ing hammer these c**** so we can all feel a bit better.

Struggled to beat Debrecen, twice. Throwing away a lead at home to Lyon. Throwing away a lead away at Lyon. Throwing away a lead at home to Fiorentina when we were already as good as out.
