honourablegeorge Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago "Let Salah get closer to the goal", seems to be the idea 1

Kind of fits with the "play the game in the opposition's half" thing that someone quoted on here the other day Expand I don’t know why you are overcomplicating it. The Jeremie Frimpong that goes out with Lindsay Lohan replaces Trent and the one that goes out with the twin will back up Salah.

Probably far harder to find a real centre forward. We'll get at least £60m for Nunez too 1

Seems as soon as the Alonso-to-Madrid wheels started turning, the was a build-up of noises from Madrid that they will cough up for the player after all. Guessing Alonso has said to Perez that he wants Huijsen/a ball-playing CB and that's lit a fire under them.
PaulMcC186 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Wirtz has got 34 goals and 33 assists in the last two seasons. Obviously Bundesliga isn't as good as England but we're a lot better than Leverkusen. Edited 1 hour ago by PaulMcC186

It shook me out of some stale thinking. I still reckon it’s a non starter though

At one stage it was very much that was his dream move but they've shown no concrete interest. Feel like that's shifted now.
Conrad Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’d prioritise wirtz or a similar level creative player over a 9 if we could only have one or the other
goodrobotusses Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Think if Wirtz ends up at City he gets a Haaland-sized contract. We're not gonna do that.
Benzo-13 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Lot of links to loads of Dutch players. Bit lazy you’d think. 1
Romario Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This is why it’s a travesty that Trent is going on a free to Madrid. They are out direct rivals on targets like Huijsen and will probably be the reason for us to force Konate to either sign a new deal or sell him early. 1

[@JacobsBen] James Pearce, Andy Jones, David Ornstein, Sebastian Stafford-Bloor - Both the player and Leverkusen want a resolution to his future as soon as possible. Liverpool must now decide if and when to proceed with the possible move. Securing a new left-back is currently a higher priority than buying a right-back, despite Alexander-Arnold’s impending free transfer move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

YugoB Posted 1 minute ago Posted 1 minute ago Real Madrid have asked Liverpool to release Trent Alexander-Arnold for free so he can play in the group stages of the Club World Cup. Wirtz also met with Liverpool on Tuesday when he flew to England. [@kicker_B04]
