NEW: In the coming weeks, Liverpool and Lucho Díaz will sit down to discuss the Colombian's contract renewal and find out where they stand in the negotiations.

Liverpool has among its objectives to RENEW Lucho Díaz's contract.

Good… think he’s a great player. Hopefully we can get him scoring more goals next season though.

This is the (joint) most goals he's scored in a season his whole career

I think we can possibly draw a few conclusions about what a 'Slot no.9' looks like based on his preference for Diaz. Seemingly wants a player that's very mobile and can interchange with Gakpo on the left.

The right decision

I’d have sold Lucho last summer but think he’s had a brilliant season and hope he renews now.

He always worked hard and was a wiling runner but he has added more end product under Slot.

Also he has shown versatility playing both left side and up front, and avoided injuries. He has been consistent and influential in our title win. And his Dad has shut up too.

Early part of the season, before Mo really got going, it was his goals that set the pace for us and gave us wins when no one else was turning up with the goals.

Maybe. I reckon Diaz has played there so much because the others have been so bad/injured.

Interesting…. Had heard we were looking at Semenyo for £60m

Imagine getting Kerkez, Hujsen and Semenyo in one window. Hughes would get pelters.

Can't see us going for Robinson, he's 27. I expect this is all part of the dance for Kerkez.

I don't think Robinson is very good
