I’ve never seen him kick a ball - but for those that have - are we sure this is a lad to be lashing cash at?

I can't be arsed with him any more and I don't think class is permanent, there have been massive swathes of his career here where he's been either injured or not scoring. 

We can't be relying on a player who's injured for ages and then is f***ing rubbish when he returns for weeks.

Diaz would be a more productive player with peak Firmino in the team but not much - seems to attempt the same dribble regardless of the fullback and his delivery isn't great

Once every ten games or so Diaz pulls off some mad dribble that makes you all the more frustrated at him being a crab so much of the time. I can't tell if I was just spoilt by Mane, Firmino and Salah (and Coutinho before), but our attack just doesn't feel as deadly and fun as it was back then, despite Salah's great individual season.

15 in 127 is crap. Looked great at the Euros but that's a lot of goals he'd need to add to his game.

Right now his productivity is lacking. But he is only 22, and he has a significant amount of pace and dribbling ability, so anyone signing him is hoping to elevate him to the next level.

We were spoilt with peak Mane and Salah but that's what we should be aiming for.

His Spurs goal is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I'm happy to keep him, he had a bad recovery this time but I think he's class when he's on it, Ask Everton,

I have issues with Jota but if we’re looking to move Nunez on and cash in on Diaz, I’d be stunned if he left.

He’d be a great backup striker, just can’t be relied on to be the main man.

I saw him play for Spain a couple of times and I thought he looked pretty average, wouldnt be keen on us signing him

Fair, and I'm not saying that Williams is an upgrade or he's the one we should be after, but I do think it's worth considering upgrading Diaz considering his age and the fact that he can still be frustrating and inconsistent

For me, Diaz is even more of an enigma than Darwin. Darwin doesn't have the football brain or temperament. Diaz is super skillful (think it was on one of those LFC vids that Jones and Grave both picked him as the most skillful player at the club) has a football brain, never stops running, but is too often shockingly lacking in end product.
