I think we still need some muscle in midfield as well. The 3 regular lads have been bullied in there by some of the grock sides this season

Reading between your lines here, it sounds like we need to be very, very clever with our purchases to avoid a big points deduction on PSR and HG rules.

Nope - absolutely not.

We've only had 1 set of accounts in memory - the ones just published - that showed a significant loss and it was nowhere near the PSR limit (£105m losses over 3 years). Our wages / revenue %age is well with in the limits for UEFA 

There should be significant funds available due to being in CL, nuAnny, better sponsorship etc - plus we have some players to sell that should bring in £100m+ easily. I reckon we *should* be able to spend £250m+ this summer and not have an issue

After VvDs comments about contract stuff being released in next few weeks, supposedly all the details of all three will be addressed by end of April.

News will start leaking over next week or so.

Virgil van Dijk is yet to reach an agreement over a new contract but is “not panicking” over the delay, insisting “there will be news” and he “loves the club.” 2 days ago.

We saw Virgil in the supermarket in Knutsford on Friday. Very relaxed, pushing a trolley round by himself.

I say we, it was my other half panic buying me an easter egg for my birthday.

Anyway, Virgil relaxed, buying water and fruit, taking his time. Feels like he's at home to me.

Maybe overlooking things, but an argument could be made that Mo and Virgil are playing like they don't want to be injured as they don't have a contract to fall back on. They seem a bit off the pace compared to earlier in the season adding justification to Hughes/Edwards resistance in handing them a big contract.

My gut tells me they are off unless they accept a new contract with a noticeable drop in wages/more appearance/trophy related remuneration.
