The thing is, we are top of the Premier League and finished top of the Champions League, yet undoubtedly have a lot of work to do in the summer.

At the very least CB, LB, CM and striker. If Trent leaves (which I think is likely) - RB as well. I dare not think what we would need should Virgil and Mo leave too.

If Trent, Virge and Mo all stay then we’ll buy a left back plus two of the three other positions you name. 

If Trent leaves then we’ll buy a left back and right back but just one other player.

If Trent, Virge and Mo all leave then we’ll replace those three and that’s it.

Thought Ait Nouri was excellent again though on Sunday. Salah rarely gets much out of him when they match up.

If we want a playmaker at full back (if Trent goes), I think Ait Nouri makes sense, with Bradley doing the old school Robbo role on the opposite flank. Whether it works with Salah remaining the focal point is a different issue

Can't see any scenario where we spend money on a right back. Maybe a cheapie to backup Bradley but that's about it.

It's the dream. I can't wait for Ornstein or Pearce to float the possibility of us maybe, given the right circumstances and situation, attempting to have a conversation (internally) of theoretically discussing the circumstances that might allow us to schedule a discussion over his unobtainable and vastly inflated value

If Mo leaves, we need a right forward. It may not have to be a replacement for his goal contribution and assist alone in that position, that could happen with a new #9

If Mo stays, but we sell Nunez, we still need a 9, but that maybe a different profile than without Mo

If Konate doesn't sign an extension, we need another CB whether Virgil is here or not, for sure. If Virgil goes, Konate stays, I think you still need 2 CB's, because of Gomez and his injury.

Agree with all of that. The Konate contract situation is an issue,that is understandably secondary given the other 3. We can't keep letting top players go for free
