It’s a difficult one with Bradley as you want him to be first choice but he has a poor injury history so we need high quality cover. I think that’s a solution. Yeah he makes a lot of sense as a wing back and forward cover.

Gethin Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Contracts as far as I can see This summer Mo (done), VVD (rumoured done), Trent (probably gone) Next summer Kelleher (probably sold this summer), Ibou, Robbo (we probably won't offer), Elliott (may be sold), Endo (probably sold this summer) Summer 27 Ali (love him to stay but may want to do Saudi), Bradley, Gomez (probably sold this summer), Jones, Jota (probably won't offer), Diaz (possibly off this summer) & probably both Mo and VVD again So really the important ones are just Ibou, Bradley, Jones, Ali if he wants to stay and Elliott if we decide he's got a future here 1
FakeNewsBear Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Transfermarkt has it at 17 (maybe 18 with Morton) out of contract by July 2027. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/liverpool-fc/kader/verein/31/saison_id/2024/plus/1

Basically just the ones I list above.
Case Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I wonder if Delap is an option? Young, cheap, knows the league, trained at City. Big, Quick, good touch. He’s nowhere near a nirvana, but would mean money could be spent elsewhere. Our problem at 9 is lack of pace AND Brains (Nunez), the ball sticking and bringing others into place AND pace (Jota) or physicality and positional sense (Diaz). Delap solves some of these. He doesn’t score enough, but then … he plays for Ipswich. Salah re-signing ‘might’ mean we don’t need a completely different type of 9. Just a better one. Dunno. Would prefer better, but there’s not many about.
YugoB Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago The 9 position needs proper sorting, not convinced by Delap by any stretch of imagination. 1
Big Red Machine Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago I'd take delap as a backup 9 for £30m. But we have too many positions to buy for this summer as is, so can't see that happening.
charlie clown Posted 17 minutes ago Posted 17 minutes ago I don't really see it with Delap. Bit of a battering ram type - suit Brentford or Everton maybe but not us. 1

Hus Posted 8 minutes ago Posted 8 minutes ago Add me to the "not a fan of Delap" list. Decent shot but relies on physicality too much, he manages to get away with it at Ipswich. We need better, a pacey Firmino esque player who can link up play.
