Do get the feeling that DeBruyne has had a irreparable falling out with Guardiola

Whether they did or not hasn't impacted his future there as much as the fact that he is finished. He can't run. At all. Even his passing is heavy.

I’d say Kelleher, Trent, Tsimikas and Nunez are certs to go.

Both Gomez and Quansah have been linked with moves and you’d have to think Endo will go. I think there’s a question mark over Elliott and I wouldn’t be stunned if Slot wants a proper rejig of the attack, and sacrifices either Diaz or Jota as well.

Could be a mad busy summer.

Snippet from Jonathan Northcroft article in the Times:

Salah’s retention has consequences for Liverpool’s plans to rebuild their squad. Their financial commitments to him and Virgil van Dijk (close to renewing his contract too) will take up such space on the wage bill that, unless there are several significant sales, talk of Liverpool making five or six summer signings is fanciful.

Slot’s already said we are going to make the squad stronger.

I’d say currently with links, I reckon Tsimikas - Kerkez, Gomez - Huijsen, Elliott - Simons, Diaz (no one - Chiesa/Gakpo do), Nunez - Ekitike.

Trent? Dunno.

With that skin? Brave boy

Saw Steve Staunton fry before my very eyes in the World Cup in Orlando in 1994.  Felt uncomfortable.  Like a live Witch trial. He was never the same again.

Trent - wages

Kelleher - sale (replaced last year)

Nunez & Diaz (sale - interesting conversation on talksport this week about the two year cycle of overseas signings in the Saudi league and how 2025 is set for another big spend on overseas players)

These are the 4 most likely for me.

Tsimikas, Doak, Ibe.

Maybe. I think will depend on him honestly assessing his physical level. I reckon he will feel he can still play real football. But his wages would mean we're unlikely

He was actually brilliant for them yesterday, best he's played all season/for a long while.

He said it's the first game in a while he's been pain free. So maybe he can still play at a decent level if he stays fit.

I'm sure he's made loads of money from City's special creative accounting contracts so he's probably well set financially tho.

Nailed on deadline day loan

Yeah especially as the big Italian clubs love a loan deal.
I hope we keep him as I think  he could be a handy backup, but Slot doesn't seem to rate him.

Reckon that wages stuff is b******s myself. We’re in a very good financial position at the moment and those two were already our highest paid players

And both would have had to be replaced by top talent on mega salary anyway, plus the transfer fees that would have had to be paid

We only need 4 now anyway so there!

We have a high bill though, player wages can only be 70% of revenue for UEFA too. I think it will shape some of how we behave, Konate's deal for one, I think wage demands might see him sold and replaced with Huijsen, for one, and Diaz being sold instead of renewed too.

We’re also losing our third highest paid player plus others. I think even with resigning Konate to a better contract we’ll be fine, even on the UEFA wages ratio too
