Looks that way doesn't it? Seems he's been there on loan from PSG for 1.5 season before they finally bought him in the winter window. If they signed him for €50m they'll be wanting well north of that - interested to see what the release clause is.

He may change when he has better players to select, but to date Slot seems to like to play with a #9 #9, not a Firmino type, as good as Bobby was. Our #9 this season has very often been with no other team mate within 20 yards. 
 

IF Slot wants to continue with this, then the #9 has to be better than any of our current 3 options at holding the ball up

No it doesnt but there's no way we're going into the season with only Jota as the #9 if Nunez is gone.

I'm not a big fan of him, however he has improved with his end product over the last two years. He's on pace to do more this year than he did last year [10 goals, 13 assists in all games]. His numbers are higher than Dom's last two seasons at Leipzig, so who knows. I think he's better technically than Dom, especially with passing and dribbling. Whether or not he can adapt to the league is my biggest concern with him, and he's not exactly quick either.

He did play but he played wide and was completely an afterthought.

He was anonymous for Leipzig against us earlier in the season as well.
