Yeah, you could be right. IF Robbo can get back to his best then I think we’re ok on the left. But it is a risk. I don’t have enough data. And to be honest, I’m feeling the pressure of having to make the decision.

We need to start replacing players just before they fall off the cliff so whilst Robbo can still be great, he's shown signs of that natural decline.

True. Think he looked really sharp yesterday. Maybe the occasion,  maybe he's just getting fit again.

He's had a bunch of good games this season and every time someone smugly comments "to think people on here claim he's finished" and then next week he tanks.

He doesn't have the legs to be a regular anymore. doesn't mean he won't be contributing.

Robertson is a legend. The only one of our current squad who hasn't given up at some stage of his Liverpool career.

Unfortunately he needs to be replaced. He can play a part but he can't play every week. And Tsimikas isn't good enough to.

We absolutely cant be f***ing about this Summer.

Need at least 2/3 players who can slot into the first team and a couple of squad players Arne trusts so we're not knackered by February.

I just don't trust FSG to do this.

Really need to Trent to decide don’t we? Either in or out.

and after yesterday, if he is out, it is best for him and us if he goes quietly now and starts settling in and we move on.

if he stays, let’s announce it and move on too.

would be great to have closure way before the parade.

There’s no question about Robertson’s class. There are questions about his physicality though. Signs this season of the physical career he’s had under Jurgen asking for a bit of payback from his limbs.

That said, I kind of agree. He and Tsimikas as a two were perfectly fine. On the other side, while I like Bradley, he’s not yet elite, and his injury record is poor. We definitely need another RB as there’s no cover for him. The choice is whether we sign a #1 RB or a backup to Conor,

Walkers Peters as back up - he's free too.

I’m sure the club already know, and have known for ages.

So is Aina on a free.

Yeah I'd do something like that. Get a free/cheap back up and give Bradley a season to see how he does.

Would be useful if Gomez is still here too

I think at this point in their careers, Aina might be too good to be a backup to Bradley. If you were a full back in a team that qualified for the Champions League, why would you accept that as a role?

If Trent goes, I think we need a world class right back more than we need to buy an expensive left back. I'd trust Robertson to have a good season with a full summer off. I dont think Kerkez is an upgrade on good Robertson.

Ahh, but Endo can play there....

Must build from a position of strength. Can't rest on our laurels just because we have won the league. Other teams will strengthen around us. Mo, Van Dijk, Robertson, part of the backbone of Jurgens team are all another year older in their 30s. We need fresh blood, increasing the strength in depth of the entire squad. Next season will be even more difficult, we'll have a target on our backs being champions. I want the league again next season, we must get the summer transfer window right.

Then we leave them to fight it out, as it should be. Similarly if we managed to sign Huijsen (without selling Konate) and he ended up a better starting option. Can only good for the club and there will be plenty of game time for all good players.
