Don’t think they think we have any priorities tbh. We’d all love a defender and/or a midfielder but I get the feeling they don’t think it’s needed before the summer. They’ve been on about opportunistic signings for a while. I think it’s just lads they think “ooh we should go for him if he’s available”, or like Diaz and Gakpo and theyre off somewhere else unless we move.

It seems like a mad approach to not have targets and see who's available for good value.

I like Endo and Elliott, I don’t like Nunez and Quansah. The coach doesn’t like any of them, so I’d get rid of them all and get players he likes. He’s obviously a great coach, let’s see what he’s like with his own players.

If we get him (kvartashvili) and psg miss out I can see it panning out that salah doesn’t renew and goes to psg whereas we fork out 70 odd million transfer fee and 200k or so wages a week when it would have been far cheaper and better if we just resigned salah with that outlay!

He’s one player I’d pick to replace Salah if we had to.

You know what I mean though. Zubi was the one they wanted in the summer. Even then they also mentioned opportunistic signings. Just don’t think they have a January list of “what we need to try to do”. Wish they did obviously cos the squad isn’t perfect yet.
