Seems like this is Mos last season, per the following quote on a Sky Sports interview;

"I want to win this Premier League... as it will be my last year at the club. I want to give this special gift to the club and the city," Salah said.

Er, that’s from a US site, mate, using their rubbish date formatting. i.e. Month/Day/Year. So it’s the 3rd January 2025 in our money.

He did well at Roma so hoping he's a success here

Might just not be suited to the PL though after being a flop at Chelsea. Hopefully we don't spend more than £20mm

This is a copy of the interview dated 1st March;

Mohamed Salah has ended speculation about his future, confirming that this will be his final season as a Liverpool player. In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, the 32-year-old Egyptian forward announced his decision to leave the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, closing a historic chapter at Anfield.

Salah expressed his ambition to crown his time at Liverpool by securing another Premier League title, a goal that has become his primary motivation for the season:

"I want to win this Premier League... as it will be my last year at the club. I want to give this special gift to the club and the city," Salah said. He also reflected on the club’s 2020 title victory, which lacked the celebration it deserved due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

"We waited about 30 years for that title, but we couldn’t celebrate it the right way. Hopefully, we can do it this year."

This declaration solidifies the hints Salah had dropped earlier. On September 1, after a match against Manchester United, Salah suggested that this would be his last season with the Reds. Today’s confirmation puts an end to the speculation.

Despite the looming departure, Salah continues to prove why he’s considered one of the Premier League’s best players. He leads the league in scoring with 17 goals and has provided 13 assists, remaining a crucial asset for Arne Slot’s squad.

With his contract set to expire in June 2025, Salah will be free to negotiate with other clubs starting in January 2025, sparking interest from both European powerhouses and Middle Eastern clubs eager to secure his services.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has cemented his place as an iconic figure for the club. His accomplishments include:

Champions League (2019)

Premier League (2020)

Multiple domestic and international trophies

Beyond the accolades, Salah’s impact on Anfield is immeasurable. His contributions have defined Liverpool’s modern era, creating moments that will resonate for generations.

Dated first of March, last Saturday.

This is terrible news. I’ve just landed at Gatwick before a February holiday to Fuertaventura and now I’ve f***ing missed it!

Friday was the last day of January, I forgot about February, it's easily done.

It's not even a leap year, only 28 days, that's no big deal.

Blatant pedantry.
