Benitez Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 What do the stars mean? the double star by Sporting is I'm pressuming cos they may end up being seeded, if by some miracle Ajax win the Europa league.
Tobes Rafa Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Why does everyone say it will be a miracle if Ajax win? You've all seen United play this season, right?
Benitez Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Why does everyone say it will be a miracle if Ajax win? You've all seen United play this season, right? yes, and I've also seen how Ajax play. However s***e United are, they can defend. Something Ajax don't see to be intersted in or able to do.
Hassony Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Why does everyone say it will be a miracle if Ajax win? You've all seen United play this season, right?Mourinho will play for a 0-0 draw

Sion Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 (edited) If we win the qualifier it looks likely we'll be in pot 3 for the group stage draw. Now that pot 1 has only champions, pot 2 is the pot of death.Which means we'd definitely get one of Barca, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Dortmund, Sevilla, Porto So if we get unlucky and draw one of the 3 biggies from pot 1 - Real, Bayern, Juventus - our group could conceivably look something like Bayern, Barca, Liverpool, Roma or Real, Dortmund, Liverpool, Celtic The best case scenario would be something like Shaktar, Porto, Liverpool, Copenhagen Edited May 28, 2017 by Sion

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 update from the Echo http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpools-champions-league-play-opponent-13105963 Viktora Plzen (Czech Republic ) - finished second, 10 points behind winners Slavia PragueCSKA Moscow (Russia) - finished second, seven points behind Spartak Moscow and one point ahead of ZenitClub Brugge (Belgium) - finished second, two points behind AnderlechtSporting Lisbon (Portugal) - finished third, behind champions Benfica and second place PortoSteaua Bucharest (Romania) - finished second behind ViitorulYoung Boys (Switzerland) - second to regular pests FC Basel by a whopping 17 pointsNice (France) - third behind champions Monaco and second-placed PSGHoffenheim (Germany) - fourth, two points behind third-placed Dortmund and 20 behind champions Bayern MunichIstanbul BB (Turkey) - second behind champions Besiktas and well ahead of Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. The final possible opponent will come from Greece where a four-team play-off series is underway.AEK Athens , PAOK based in Thessaloniki or Panathinaikos from Athens are still in contention to win the play-off spot.If Ajax or Kiev failed to get through their play-off round, then Plzen and then CSKA Moscow would move up and become seeds, meaning Liverpool could not draw them after all.
Hightown Phil Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Young Boys is the most favourable one here I think, isn't it?
