Murphman Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Having waited all of these years i received a letter of indication that our season tickets could finally become a reality. My son was a young kid when we applied, all correspondence came to me and I had assumed this was because he was a minor. On a number of occasions i had reiterated in correspondence that my response was for TWO applications, I had his name on the correspondence at every turn i.e. when we confirmed we still wished to stay on and paid the £5 and when we moved house. I called them this morning, they have no record of my son's application. I've forwarded all of the paperwork accrued over the years,I've kept copies. I don't know where this will end, I haven't told my lad. Gravy would always tell me how archaic the record keeping was at the club, according to Brian Hall (RIP) iI this doesn't resolve i can see me knocking the f*cking lot on the head after 50 years a fan, devastating news, I'm truly in shock.Three days response time.
Cobs Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 the useless f***ers you have copies though, smart move, surely that will see you right. good luck
Jonesy Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 As Cobs says you've got copies of all correspondence. You'll be grand. I had a similar issue when the issued the £5 to remain on the list. They said I wasn't on it in the first place. They backed down when I sent them their letter telling me I was from back in the day. If all else fails wage a twitter war against them. They are all about brand protection.
Murphman Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 the useless f*****s you have copies though, smart move, surely that will see you right. good luck I hope so. I have copies of all my correspondence to them with acknowledgements from the club that they've received it. nowhere do they formally acknowledge my son though. I'm worried to f*ck.
Jonesy Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I hope so. I have copies of all my correspondence to them with acknowledgements from the club that they've received it. nowhere do they formally acknowledge my son though. I'm worried to f*ck. Are you sure you mentioned him right at the beginning...ya know the very first letter you sent them? Also did you not get anything back with yours and his name on it. My letter went something along the lines of 'Dear Ian Jones - Further to your recent letter, we are writing to confirm that your application remains on our season ticket waiting list. We will contact you as soon as a seat becomes available but we must stress the list is extensive we cannot guarantee when a seat will be offered to you blah blah J Howarth Ticket Office' and underneath that was change of address of slip with a reference number on it. I would have been screwed without the letter like.

Murphman Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 so he's not mentioned on any of the correspondence you have copies of? Not by them just, acknowledgement of receipt of the correspondence of which I have kept copies and he is referenced. Are you sure you mentioned him right at the beginning...ya know the very first letter you sent them? And since then.
Cobs Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Not by them just, acknowledgement of receipt of the correspondence of which I have kept copies and he is referenced. ok, well that should do it.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 f***ing hell, the level of incompetence there is staggering. And it's been like that for years. It really can't be that hard to administer well
MarkD Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 f***ing hell, the level of incompetence there is staggering. And it's been like that for years. It really can't be that hard to administer well I bet we've been using the ticket office admin team to do paperwork for transfers too - maximising resources to ensure multiple f*** ups at a lower fixed cost
Murphman Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 It's been escalated but they can't look at it until renewal. FFS....ok, well that should do it. You'd like to think so but they've acknowledged I wrote to them not the confirmation, I have a copy of the slip they asked me to fill in and of my letter but it is just my letter. I have a month's sweating to do now and I'm getting bad vibes.
RP Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Oh well, nothing can be done for a month then. Look forward to hearing all about it on here at the beginning of June.
