Molby Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 so if we play like last Sunday we'll get hammeredassuming that was an aberration, what do we do? problem with assuming it was an aberration, is that we were without Hendo, Firmino, Lovren, and Coutinho's form has gone to s***and our squad depth is such that we had 3 kids on the bench one thing we could do is just take the hammering, laugh it off and wait til we have all our players fit and firing....or have signed new ones next season
Case Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 It's impossible to tell whether Leicester / Burnley were aberrations or the norm. No one can reasonably say. What I do know is that City appear to have sorted themselves out, so it'll be tough as a b*****d. Play well. Win. Talk about the problems afterwards.
Swipe Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Hendo out feels like it could be big for this one particularly. If Firmino is out again too, I’m a little worried.
Martinus Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Hendo out feels like it could be big for this one particularly. If Firmino is out again too, I’m a little worried.I think I'd rather play Lucas over Can if Hendo is out.
Senrab_nhoj Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I think I'd rather play Lucas over Can if Hendo is out. Sort of Ayre/Fowler styly for aerial dominance?
Gilps Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 That's quite the rallying cry from Molby to start the thread.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 It's impossible to tell whether Leicester / Burnley were aberrations or the norm. No one can reasonably say. What I do know is that City appear to have sorted themselves out, so it'll be tough as a b*****d. Play well. Win. Talk about the problems afterwards. It's one game good, one game bad. Right now we raise our game for the better sides, so City on that basis should see a good performance. We 'joked' that after Spurs we were in trouble for Leicester. And so it proved. We then expressed confidence for Arsenal followed by woe for Burnley and so it almost proved. So City - easy. Everton, Bournemouth, Stoke following that - all s***e & all trouble
Dan Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Is bobby definitely out? Nope - back in full training today.
Molby Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 That's quite the rallying cry from Molby to start the thread. well you know what they say....You cannot lose if you throw the race
Jarg Armani Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 First off, go back in time and sign players with better injury records. Henceforth... and so on.
Conrad Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Nope - back in full training today.GoodSo we should be 1 short of full strength
PhilM Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Lets batter these fools. They absolutely folded up when Monaco pressed them aggressively, plus their defence is almost as shambolic as ours.
Tobes Rafa Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 We've a good record against them. Desperately need Coutinho to be on point though.
Nebraska Red Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 We've a good record against them. Desperately need Coutinho to be on point though.Little guy usually does well against these. Here's hoping it is one of those days.
Case Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 My brother, who weighs 22 stone, will explode if we win this. I'd be sad, but boy, what a spectacle it'd be.
Stevie Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 My brother, who weighs 22 stone, will explode if we win this. I'd be sad, but boy, what a spectacle it'd be.I would at least wear some protective goggles if you're going to be in close vicinity of him.

Molby Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 Playing this game without Firmino (as we saw on Sunday) and with Coutinho suddenly way off the pace is going to be difficulthaving said that, if we win the ball 40 yards from their goal often enough, I guess it's not much distance to travel to stick it in their net But Guardiola has seen all this; will he try to do anything different? or will he think (understandably) that we are some way below the level we have been a few months ago, in terms of pressing?
Hassony Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Firmino trained today, hopefully he'll start on sunday
Beardsley Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Firmino trained today, hopefully he'll start on sunday His temporary blindness for looking at his own teeth while brushing has waned off?
Tommy Cockles Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Bit concerned about a CL backlash from them if I'm honest. I've no idea what to expect from us if I'm honest.
