Causality game

I found Causality on my Iphone this morning.....perhaps my son put it there as I don't remember doing it

anyway, how the f*** do you play it?

 

I looked online for instructions but there isn't anything useful

 

need to learn before the 4 y.o. gets on it and makes a better fist of it than I'm making

 

there's some water, a spaceman, a sea monster, some rocks, a kind of jetty in the middle of the water and some bits of spacecraft (I think)
