Baby monitors

Ours has been playing up for months and is going to pack up any day soon. The issue we've got is that the charging bit in the actual monitor stops working unless it's plugged in at a specific angle.

 

From reading far too many amazon reviews it seems like this is a common problem for the brand we've got (Tommee Tippee), Motorola and BT.

 

Anyone got a recommendation for a good video monitor? Everything else is great on this one but I begrudge buying another that will just break down again after a year or so.
