Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 ok, my otherwise stellar record of starting match threads & us winning got a bit f***ed last weekend, so I'm jumping straight back onto the horse. Similar team, Matip in, protect the keeper, score 4 or more, keep a clean sheet. Job's a good'un They're s*** these
Conrad Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Imagine/hope Lallana and Matip will be fit to start
mofus77 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Good solid win, no f***ing about. Don't care what the score is or who plays, just put last week behind us.
Swipe Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Just want to win but a proper reaction to last week's DEBACLE would be warmly received.
Swipe Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Of course. A 5-0 hammering where we are shimmering would be lovely is all I'm saying.
Jarg Armani Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I think we could do with a good performance. Haven't played properly well since the 6-1 I don't think.
usualsuspect Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 We should win this. My worry is their physicality on set pieces and Payet's long range shooting. Hopefully a reassuring bounce back win.
Tommok Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 They're a bit s*** really aren't they, West Ham. A decent win and last week will be forgotten (it won't really but still)
Ethan Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I pity West Ham - they don't deserve what is about to happen to them
AnfieldWestGaffer Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 They'll still be a bit stung from their last result too....
Cunny Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Might be harsh after 3 goals in 3 games but I'd be dropping Origi and getting Firmino back in the false 9 position with Lallana/Mane either side.
Dan Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Think we need lallana further back. I'd swap Firmino and Origi's positions in the front three though and have Firmino more central.
Stevie H Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Might be harsh after 3 goals in 3 games but I'd be dropping Origi and getting Firmino back in the false 9 position with Lallana/Mane either side. i don't like firmino out wide at all.
usualsuspect Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 i don't like firmino out wide at all.Yeah, he's better starting in the middle and pulling defenders around the place.
Jarg Armani Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Origi is 3 in 3 so it's tough. He will still come on and bag anyway.
McBain Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I've seen very little from Henderson/Can/Wijnaldum to make me think it's worth sticking with. One needs to drop out, Lallana in the free role, Firmino in the middle, Mane right. Leaves Origi out left which isn't a perfect fit but I'd play it

Our best football this season has mostly been when he's on the bench. Edited December 8, 2016 by Dan

Leaves Origi out left which isn't a perfect fit but I'd play it yeah. start with a middle three of henderson, wijnaldum and lallana and go from there. firmino through the middle, mane on the right, whoever plays left is going to be a square peg at this point.
Swipe Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Definitely Can. Our best football this season has mostly been when he's on the bench. Defo.
Leo No.8 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Need to spank these to move quickly on from that 2nd half Bournemouth debacle. They have been absolutely awful when I've seen them lately so we should do.
Stevie H Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Need to spank these to move quickly on from that 2nd half Bournemouth debacle. They have been absolutely awful when I've seen them lately so we should do. their gameplan seems to be hope that michael antonio lad pops up with a goal or otherwise we're looking at payet with a set-piece. and their defending has been all over the place. which is probably another reason to play firmino through the middle with lallana backing him up.

Antonio is injured along with loads of other first teamers as well. We really should be battering these.
