Car Hire in Liverpool

My wife is thinking about a trip to Liverpool early next year and wants to rent/hire a car, but not from Manchester Airport as she'll be shattered after the overnight flight.

 

Are there any reasonably priced rental places in the Litherland/Bootle area I could contact to get an idea of prices?
