scoose Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I reckon there's some truth in this http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37999585 I saw him on the London train last summer and he got off at Milton Keynes. Why else would anyone get off there? Then again he could have been going skiing I suppose

The Hitman Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Don't do it Steven.1. It's Milton Keynes.2. It's MK Dons3. Just don't.
Barnesy_10 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 The most boring job in football? One for Giggs then surely, or Shearer
lfc4eva99 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Can see this going the Barnes to Celtic way if he goes there directly.
muleskinner Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Inter Milan want him for the rest of the season
Hassony Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Can see this going the Barnes to Celtic way if he goes there directly. Why? And where should he go first?
lfc4eva99 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Why? And where should he go first? He has no real coaching experience, would be better in mind if he manages the youth or joins Klopp's staff before breaking out. Now he may go on and make me eat my words, which I'd be glad to

Now he may go on and make me eat my words, which I'd be glad to You do realise that MK dons are in league 1 don't you? Nothing like celtic He's already worked with the likes of Houllier, Rafa, eriksson, cappelo and Hodgson, if he's not learned from thier combined experience then working with klopp won't help much
growler Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I think the best way is to earn your stripes on youth and reserve football before coming through. Can only do that if your a name and you have a brand name though. I think that's what pep did from memory didn't he?

It was my gut reaction to this news when I first heard about it.
dorgie Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Inter Milan want him for the rest of the season I think that could be a great move for him, and Inter.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 dunno - he was underwhelming in LA
Benitez Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I think the best way is to earn your stripes on youth and reserve football before coming through. Can only do that if your a name and you have a brand name though. I think that's what pep did from memory didn't he? Guardiola coached Barcelona's 2nd team for one season before moving to the big team. As for Gerrard, hopefully he goes somwhere where he can learn and grow as a coach. Propblem with football, is that it isn't the most patient of enviroments! Unless he does want to carry on playing for half a season, in which case no clue, maybe Celtic would be a good move, although not exactly the most competitive of situations.
Hassony Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 dunno - he was underwhelming in LADifficult to motivate yourself playing at that level Look at Defoe
Flasher Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Not MK Dons ffs. Nobody should go near that "franchise".
Bootle Buck Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 MK Dons will see him as a way of boosting their brand and the publicity it will bring initially. However, the reality is they are fighting for relegation in a division Stevie has no experience or knowledge of. Wish him the best but would have hoped he would have taken more time choosing his next step in the game.dunno - he was underwhelming in LATotally agree. He looked very average and I wish he should just pack in playing before he takes some of the shine off a great playing career.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Difficult to motivate yourself playing at that level Look at Defoethere is that - maybe Inter would provide him the drive

Hassony Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 He's not taking any shine off his career.Aye, it's a stupid thing to say
Benzo-13 Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Inter Milan are in a mess though it being slower over there he could do a proper Pirlo.
kop205 Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) He's not taking any shine off his career.Yeah, never sure how that one works. Almost every great, in every sport, has gone on too long to some extent. It doesn't diminish what they were at their peak. Maybe people would have been happier if he'd retired in 2005.
