épieur Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I'd want to see Lucas, Grujic, Origi and Ings all get starts. If Gomez is fit, him too.
cymrococh Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I'd play Grujic, Klavan and IngsWe'll need more than that, Spurs are a decent side. 11 players please Jurgen!
Tommy Cockles Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I'd play Grujic, Klavan and Ings Sounds like a terrible firm of lawyers.
David Hodgson Posted October 24, 2016 Author Posted October 24, 2016 We'll need more than that, Spurs are a decent side. 11 players please Jurgen!Yes. Sturridge and Origi needs games and are worth first 11 places when on form, so picking them is not downgrading. Wijnaldum needs a game and Lallana has only started once since coming off against Swansea after 20 mins nearly a month ago. Keepers and centre backs don't need resting. The dilemmas for Kopp are at full back, in the No 6 position, and which attacking player to link up with Origi and Sturridge.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 The dilemmas for Kopp are at full back, in the No 6 position, and which attacking player to link up with Origi and Sturridge. I agree on the full backs, they wont get much opportunity for a rest/rotation in the league (though realistically shouldn't need it, one game a week and all that). So yeah, I'd look to give them a game off and see what happens with the back ups. I'd play Can in the #6 and Wijnaldum with Lallana. Upfront, Ings, Sturridge, Origi.
richwilks Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Mignolet Alex-A - Klavan - Lovren - Moreno Can - Lucas - Grujic Origi - Sturridge - Ings StewartKariusMatipMilnerEjariaOjoLallana

The Hitman Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Stewart will start I think.Against his old side too. Defo.
downunder Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Against his old side too. Defo. I can't see anyone playing who is not part of the main first team squad, I wouldn't be surprised if Clyne plays as well - as we don't have decent cover.
mofus77 Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I'd quite like to destroy Spurs, there's a lot to be said for the mental impact of getting hammered by one of your rivals. Weakened team or not.
Conrad Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I hope Karius starts. Coutinho, Firmino, Mane and Lallana should be nowhere near starting
Falconhoof Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I want us to win the league, so whatever contributes best towards that.
Cobs Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 kinda torn between wanting a v. strong side out - it's not like we've got loads of games to play and Palace isn't until Saturday evening - and rewarding the patience of the likes of Ings, Stewart, Origi, Lucas, Klavan etc. I think Mignolet comes back in as does Wijnaldum & Moreno. Can needs games so I'd start him. Sturridge too so Mig A-A Lucas Klavan Moreno Stewart Can Wijnaldum Sturridge, Origi, Ings But max power on the bench KariusClyneLovrenCoutinhoLallanaFirminoMane wouldn't be surprised to see us at almost full strength in the starting XI though.

I'd go with that team but start Karius as he needs to grow into the role asap
Billy Dane Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 At most he'll make 2 changes to Saturday's starting line up - Gino for Henderson and Sturridge for Phil.
Swipe Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) If we're resting anyone, I'd defo rest Milner. Edited October 24, 2016 by Swipe
Earl Hafler Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Karius Alexander ArnoldMatipLovrenMoreno LucasWijnaldumLallana Ejaria SturridgeOrigi Grujic where Ejaria is but otherwise that's a bob on side. Edited October 24, 2016 by Earl Hafler
McBain Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 We went strong v Derby. We'll probably go strong here. Klopp wants a trophy and will deffo see this as a chance. I reckon a strong back 5 with changes in the front three. But dead good lads on the bench if needed
Hassony Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 If we're resting anyone, I'd defo rest Milner.Yeah, happy for moreno to come in for this
