Derby are in a bit of a state ATM. We should roll them with a half competent team.

Looking forward to seeing Karius.

wouldn't risk Mane, but id play a pretty strong team.

Yeah maybe him and Sturridge but we can field a strong team as we have f*** all games.

Perfect game for Ings.

Try Moreno out at left mid maybe. Don't wanna see him in defense again.

Yeah, maybe give Ings a run with Origi.

The only reason I'd play him is to give Milner a rest. Moreno could be just as lethal at left mid as he is at left back. We played some lovely football on Friday night, lots of 2 touch moments. Control it and pass it. Moreno hasnt got that in his locker, lots of moves could break down. As Carra pointed out on Friday night, our full backs are doing the wide work to allow our attacking players operate closer together, not something that would suit Moreno I dont think.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is first out of the blocks...

On the EFL Cup itself, in which Liverpool were the beaten finalists last season, he says: "It makes only sense to have the aim of winning it. We have a real competitive game versus a strong side.

"Being part of a final is only great if you win it. It is not about talking about trophies, it is about getting as close to winning them. It doesn't help to talk about it."

What about the team news?

Well, as reported by the Press Association's Carl Markham, Klopp says: "We have only a strong line-up for this game. It is not about resting 100% fit players.

"Roberto Firmino (below) is in training. He could have played but I was told if we give him three days everything would be perfect. Today is the fourth day.

"Mamadou Sakho is still working toward fitness but it's a big difference to being match fit."

Play Manninger. Keeps the pressure on Mignolet to see that Karius is no number two.

Manninger

Someone Someone Klavan Moreno

Stewart Lucas Someone

Ings Origi Someone
