Macbook user account password annoyance

So I changed a bunch of passwords last week, including the one on my laptop, which I have subsequently forgotten.

 

I've looked around and it is possible to reset - like this: https://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/reset-forgotten-admin-password-mac-osx/

 

Just wondering if anyone has done this or whether I should just spend the rest of the week trying to wrack my brains to remember what the f*cking password is.
