This won't last. It never does.

My solution:

Mic the refs up as in Rugby. They'll be a load of red cards first game of the season and after that all the little s***s will shut up.

Wasn't Mascherano two yellows?

Yes. Something had happened the week before to establish the 'current climate'. Masch was the only one to get the brunt of the current climate though.

Wasn't it the United players surrounding the referee?

Ashley Cole having a petulant strop wasn't it?

Masch was given a second yellow card for dissent - not sent off for foul and abuse language, iirc

I was always under the impression that the refs would give a by-ball if a players swears as a response to a decision, but it would be a disciplinary matter if the swearing is directed at the ref?

Yeah - foul & abusive language is a straight red per the laws.

Unless they changed the laws, but it always was. But never enforced

One of the most infuriating and obvious sendings off in the history of the game.

He was an absolute berk, no question

Nah, not having that. Torres was fouled, told the ref he'd been getting kicked all game and got a booking. Masch went over saying "what's going on?" and got a second yellow for it.

We got 2 yellows for an incident in which our player was fouled!

Even if he'd been mouthing off all game, nothing he did in that incident warranted a booking

It was obvious he was going to send him off regardless of the seriousness of the offences. That's what made it so infuriating.

It had been coming. You could tell. I was furious that Masch kept talking to the refJust watched the video. Xavi knows
