So just to keep the generally optimistic feeling of 2016 going...

 

There are reports of explosions and gunfire in Ankara. The Turkish military has seized and closed several bridges in Ankara and Istanbul. There are fighter jets circling low over the cities and apparently a nationwide martial law has been declared.

 

This sounds a bit like a coup...
