I took my car in this morning  for a service and some recall jobs. I was told it would be an hour or so. About 10 minutes in , the service tech appears with a guy in a suit. Apparently, the spotty faced youth who moves the cars from drop off to the service area drove my car into a stack of tires, deployed the air bags and damaged the roof and hood (bonnet). They were apologetic and took me back to survey the damage

 

They are of course sorting out the repairs, but they offered me my choice of loaner vehicles. For the next week or so, I am driving a massive Silverado quad cab pick up truck worth about $48,000 . I have never driven one of these beasts. but it is great to drive. My car is a Chevy Equinox and this truck is just a little bit different.
