I thought Firmino did ok tonight. He didn't really have any support for most of the game so struggled a bit as he was isolated. It was only him and Sturridge who seemed to work out that having a big fat losers medal around your neck isn't really cool too.

I think its about being really clear now and really ruthless. The objective is to win this league. The most effective way to do that is to be very organised and score loads. We need brains, power, pace and goals. We also need consistency of performance AND availability.

 

Lallana, Firmino and Coutinho is one too many of a tippy tappy type player. Arsenal are the prime example of a side that have tried this with better players and failed. This league needs bullied and on the whole I'd only have one of them at a time in a team. Especially if Gotze comes in.

Exactly. You build the team around these players and ensure other players are able to get them in the game.

I can see 'some' of Allen, Lucas, Hendo, Lallana, maybe even Coutinho and Sturridge as 'possible' outs now as well as the certainties (Skrtel, Benteke, Bali, Sakho a few more). In other words there may be a couple of departures that would definitely not have happened if we'd won tonight.
