No, I'm not over it and haven't been for a very long time.

 

How f***ing close....

 

I don't dwell on footy as much I used to. Just us losing would put me in a bad. Not any more. Forget about it within an hour, unless I'm on here.

 

Got over 13/14 pretty quickly.

 

Mainly due to everything we'd had to endure on and off the pitch post Rafa and the way football has gone in general since.

Leicester were letting in loads of goals at the beginning of the season but still getting points. Ranieri then changed his tactics, really tightened up the defence. BR wasn't able to do the same in 13/14.

 

With the forward players we had, we should have won it.

I don't dwell on results anymore, but that season. Not a day goes by that I don't think of it.

 

I know it sounds completely mental, but I always said that it would be a bit like the ending to a movie winning the league. I've never seen us do it, I'm desperate to win the league. I'd part expect the credits to start rolling.

the fact is we were up against better opponents in that season, in City, than the legislature of lemmings that have taken on Leicester this

I never actually thought we'd win the league 13/14, the run we had was incredible , winning 13, drawing 1 losing 1, but I just couldn't see us winning all 15. That Xmas, I wasn't even convinced we'd get top 4! There was a always a nagging doubt and a big hole in midfield.

 

It annoys me more when people say we threw it away in the end, what with that run!?!?

I'm still blaming Victor Moses for that miss at Palace.

I'm still blaming Moses for the s*** pass he gave Henderson against City which caused him to be sent off which altered the Chelsea line up. QED

I blame him for coming, we would have been forced to seek alternatives if he hadn't.

To win the league you have to be boss in both boxes. In 13/14 we were only boss in one.

 

08/09 hurt more.

odd how 13/14 is seen as unorthodox/unsustainable on the basis of goals conceded and scored. when on the basis of games won, drawn, lost, home and away it looks much closer to the way leagues have tended to be won.

 

not sure a team that draws 7 at home ever come as close to a title as we did 08/09. modern era at least.
