This team picks itself:

Migonlet

Clyne Lovren Kolo Moreno

Milner Allen

Lallana Coutinho Firmino

Sturridge

Only debate is Lucas or Allen surely.

They were average in the first leg, and benefited from our meek approach. They have a mediocre away record and will crumble under the lights.

3-0 to The Reds

Is right. However, I think Kloppo will choose Lucas ahead of Sturridge, push Milner wide right and use Firmino up front.

Sturridge starting is a no brainer

pure mental if he does

I can see logic in it. Press from the front, win possession, attack in numbers at speed.

It's not what I would do but the proof is in the pudding. If he goes with Firmino and we lose then Sturridge would have won it for us. If he goes with Firmino and we win then Sturridge would have won it easier for us. If he goes with Sturridge and we win then we're all football geniuses. If he goes with Sturridge and we still lose then what the feck is he listening to us idiots for.

need goals and Sturridge is the more likely to score regardless how the team is performing due to being able to get a shot away from nothing. Firmino doesn't tend to be able to do that

I wouldn't.

i misread, I'd have Sturridge up front all day long but Firmino will be on the pitch too i think. Its our best chance having both.

Reckon that's a given after yesterday.

we do need to score at least 2, if not 3, so I'd like to think he'd pick sturridge

If he was going to he'd never have played the 90 yesterday. He could have played Benteke or found a kid from the ressies

he wanted to stay on. helped with building up his match fitness. remember, this is the first injury-free run he's had since we came second.

Think Smith's red changed that. I thought with Benteke on and the game pretty much dead at 3-1 he would have brought Sturridge off for Lallana at about 70-75 had it not been for the card

Wouldn't have Firmino in the team at all. He's been appalling recently. Rather have the extra midfielder in there.

I'm sure that comment will come back to bite me. I hope it does.

This has Atletico 2010 written all over it. I think fans are forgetting that nights like the Dortmund win are the exception rather than the rule.

Having said that; i think Villarreal were there for the taking on Thursday and are beatable.

As Klopp has said, the situation is nowhere near as dire as the Dortmund one was. Of course it won't be easy but the tie is far more finely poised than that one was after 60 minutes.

I hope they go really dour, park the bus and cling to what they have. The pressure will build and we should force a goal. If they come at us I can see us conceding

Hopefully their coach isn't the brash brave type
