Ripley Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Confess here At the close of the January window, I think all of the below we're getting several votes for firing: MignoletMorenoCanHendersonLallanaMilnerAllenBentekeLucasToureIloriLovrenSakhoSkrtel Huge doubts expressed about FirminoOrigiIbeMarkovic Presumed gone regardlessBalotelliAlbertoWisdom? Mutterings about Sturridge Only Clyne, Coutinho and the long term injured seemed to get a pass. Some reckoned Lucas/Origi may be the future at CB Where do we stand now after Klopp has instilled some backbone and got angry a bit. I'm struggling to get past the "gone regardless" plus Skrtel, Benteke. Presume Kolo goes too though I'd like to have him around.Sorry. Lucas/ Ilori
smithdown Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Look, you've woken up still bevvied, it's not a problem but you probably need a hot drink and another lie down.

Mutterings about Sturridge holy crap! I know people where down about a lot of players on this squad, but seriously that's pretty much the whole team! Of first team players I wanted out early in the season (as in when Klopp came here, rather than in January), I have changed my mind big time about Lovren and Lallana. I still would gladly see the back of Mig and Moreno, oh and Benteke. And Milner, really not arsed either way if he stays or go, so long as he isn't a constant feature in the midfield next season.
autumn319 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 mignolet, benteke and moreno for me . We can have better than those guys.I've changed my mind too on Lallana and lovren. As for sturridge, he looked in shock yesterday when origi came on, but i think it's more klopp being cautious about his possible injuries than a worry about daniel's capabilities. There were acres of empty space in man utd defense yesterday and origi is fast so that was a good decision from Klopp to make the swap IMO.
cymrococh Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I still would gladly see the back of Mig and Moreno, oh and Benteke. And Milner, really not arsed either way if he stays or go, so long as he isn't a constant feature in the midfield next season. Agree with that but I'd still get rid of Lallana, he's been really good the last few weeks but I don't think he's quick enough long term. If we got offered silly money for Ibe I'd let him go as well.
whitewidow Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 They can all stay today Sunday goes wrong they can all do one
charlie clown Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 It was always and only Benteke and Mig for me and I still want them both gone. There are a few others - Lovren, Lallana, Milner, Skrtel - who I woudln't lose any sleep over them going but if they stay they'll be ok in the squad.
Gunga Din Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 i'd still be looking at replacing Mignolet, Moreno, Benteke, Toure and Milner and i wouldnt shed a tear if any of Henderson, Skrtel, Allen, Lucas or Ibe went either The only one ive really changed my mind on is Origi. he looked garbage the first few times i watched him, but he has impressed me recently For what its worth i reckon Sturridge will be gone in the summer
smithdown Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 If Allen is content to play the primary role of game closer outter - and for Klopp it seems a specialist responsibility to be proud of, zipping about putting out minor fires and then using spare spaces - I'd keep him here.
Leo No.8 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 (edited) Lallana is the one that's really turned me around over the last month. Aside from that my opinions are the same - we actually have a pretty decent squad overall. Maybe Allen too but I think he's going to want more football. Edited March 18, 2016 by Leo No.8
Crazy Horse Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Other than Phil, we still don't have one player I'd be that bothered about if we sold. Firmino is getting close though.
Conrad Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I wouldn't have shed a tear a month ago if Origi had been moved on. Still unconvinced but he looks a bit more like he might have something, so I've changed my mind on him Still be happy to see Markovic, Benteke, Balotelli, Alberto, Wisdom, Ilori, and Bogdan moved on wouldn't be fussed if we got rid of Ibe either I think Mignolet should stay - as No 2.
honourablegeorge Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I'd like to see Markovic tried. Six months under Klopp might suit him Can alays f*** him off at Xmas if not
Case Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Agree with that but I'd still get rid of Lallana, he's been really good the last few weeks but I don't think he's quick enough long term. Crazy talk, this. I don't rate Benteke, but even him I'd give another chance to next season. Those that should definitely go are Wisdom, Enrique, Ilori, Bogdan, Balotelli and Alberto. Kolo will probably go too. If we got definitive upgrades on Ibe and Mignolet I'd do that, but keep the rest, develop them and win f***ing everything.
Ed the Wool Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 From the first team squad, Mignolet is my only definite Moreno, Allen, Milner, Skrtel and Benteke - but only if we are replacing them with real quality. I'd keep Kolo for a year for the vibes, but I think Lucas will take the role of vibe jedi and he'll go. I have no idea re Sturridge. I suspect Kloppo might have decided already, but there's still some big games left.
Philby Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Some reckoned Lucas/Origi may be the future at CB What absolute lunatic thinks Origi is a centre-back? He should be sectioned.

For me he still does a lot of good looking stuff without a vast amount of end product to go with it. I can see the benefit of having him, he's a good player to watch, but I can't help feeling there must be someone with similar skills but more end product out there. No idea who, like.I'd like to see Markovic tried. Six months under Klopp might suit him Can alays f*** him off at Xmas if not Yup, I think he'll come back a much better player and with more confidence than the version we saw 18 months back. honourablegeorge Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Yup, I think he'll come back a much better player and with more confidence than the version we saw 18 months back. Not sure he'll come back much different, but would liek to see him after six months under Klopp
FirstDescent Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 The only ones I wanted gone a month ago was Mignolet, Lovren and Balotelli. Atm I wouldn't mind having Mignolet as a reserve and see how Lovren performs until the summer, hes on an upwards curve obviously. But I am not forgiving the diabolical performances he showed for the previous 16 months for improving the last 2 months. Balo is a lost cause...
Conrad Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Agree with that but I'd still get rid of Lallana, he's been really good the last few weeks but I don't think he's quick enough long term.Yeah, let's get rid of one of our most creative players, we have so many
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 i'd still be looking at replacing Mignolet, Moreno, Benteke, Toure and Milner and i wouldnt shed a tear if any of Henderson, Skrtel, Allen, Lucas or Ibe went either The only one ive really changed my mind on is Origi. he looked garbage the first few times i watched him, but he has impressed me recently For what its worth i reckon Sturridge will be gone in the summer I'd keep Allen & Lucas. For the cash we'd get for the 2 of them we'd have to pay more just to replace one adequately. Allen's a perfectly good squad player & Lucas is valuable in many ways. Mignolet & Moreno for me. Toure is top but won't stay. Milner hasn't been as good as he should have been. Right now Skrtel has a battle to get in ahead of Lovren or Sahko & with the new guy coming in. And Hendo has been poor. Ibe hasn't developed either.. Aside from Toure, one of the CBs (at least) will go. None is safe
Earl Hafler Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Deffo - Mignolet, Moreno, Skrtel, AllenPossibly - Lallana. If he retains his current form then obviously he's useful but i think there will be suitors during the summer and with smaller clubs having plenty of cash, he could be a big name signing for one of them. Much depends upon which Euro competition we'll be in. Mario is a given and it's obvious Klopp has no plans to use Benteke next season.Ibe hasn't progressed at all.
Cobs Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Yeah, let's get rid of one of our most creative players, we have so manyCym hates him. Has from the off. Can't get past it.
