Another Excel Query

I want to apply conditional formatting to a cell based on the contents of another cell:

 

e.g.

 

if A1 = "GO" then format A2 with Green fill

or if A1 = "STOP" then format A2 with Red fill

or if A1 = "WAIT" then format A2 with Amber fill

 

Any ideas?
