In my view, getting Joel Matip on a Bosman is a very good deal for Liverpool. Would probably cost £15-18M on a long-term contract (1/3)

 

Being (reasonably) pacy & powerful he should be fine dealing with the intensity & physicality of the PL. Excellent in the air too (2/3)

 

Can appear a bit "untidy" and prone to the odd mistake, but generally decent on the ball. Improved a lot over the past 18 months (3/3)
