Falconhoof Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 There's a week off after this, until the return leg at Anfield, at which point we will want to rest a few for the final, which is only 3 days after. Not easy to pick an 11 to start this. Augsberg lost 3-1 at home today.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Will he play the likes of Sturridge or Coutinho 4 days after their return ? Send Origi and Benteke along with Ibe and Teixiera

Cam Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Give Sturridge another hour. In fact, play all the scorers from today.
Hassony Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Give Sturridge another hour. In fact, play all the scorers from today.Aye, play the same front six
McBain Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 To bayernIndeed. Though Augsburg I think are hovering around the relegation area. We should put them to the sword
RafaShanks Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 We need to get this done in the first leg if we can. Start with strongest team and take players off like today. Week break till 2nd leg and only 4 days in between that and final against City. Need first teamers fresh for that.

honourablegeorge Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 The CL place for Europa winners - is that a real thing?
£440,000 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 The CL place for Europa winners - is that a real thing?Yep. It's how Sevilla qualified for this year's competition.
Falconhoof Posted February 14, 2016 Author Posted February 14, 2016 To bayernaye, true. but they are on -8 GD, and have lost 10 league games. Clearly not pushovers but morale won't be high and we should get through the tie.
Nebraska Red Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Augsburg gave Bayern a bit of a game until they went 2-0 down. It was a localish derby for them so they were up for it at the start. Play the same starting 11 and we should come away with a win.
David Hodgson Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Really important to try and win this in the first leg.
Stevie H Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) which traditionally means having a robust defence capable of all but guaranteeing you a clean sheet. thank goodness we have one of those. think we have to almost treat it as a one-off knockout away game. ignore the second leg and go for it like an away fa cup match against a team you know you are better than. yesterday can't hurt in terms of that approach. RedMersey Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Europa League is the most important competition for us now. Play the strongest side in both games.
Benzo-13 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) They've a few players been around the Bundesliga for a bit who are dangerous. Raul Bobadilla and Pitor Trochowski spring to mind. Edited February 15, 2016 by Benzo-13

Cunny Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 that's not a footballer that's a tolkien character. I thought Star Wars.Probably in the Cantina bar.

sutty Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 The reds need to be looking to end this tie on Thursday. Statement of the obvious.
