So the entries are in for the Grand National and there are a couple i've already backed which i'll put on the radar for anyone interested, given how well we did last year.

Cause Of Causes

Won the 4 miler at the Cheltenham Festival last season before finishing a promising 8th in the National at a tender 7 years of age, under the guidance of National Winning trainer Gordon Elliott ( 2007 Silver Birch - remember him ? ). He was ridden by Paul Carberry that day and was never put in contention, just like Monbeg Dude wasn't given a chance by Carberry in 2014 before finishing 3rd in the race last year.

Cause Of Causes is being trained for the National and is still available at 33s to 40s. Started last years race at 14-1 and it'll be a similar story this time so worth backing now.

Mendip Express

66-1 with a bookes, 113 on Betfair. 2nd in the 2014 Becher Chase over the National fences. Jumps well, stays all day and proved his well being when winning recently after a change of stables. He's entered in the Foxhunters at Cheltenham, for which he's second favourite. One whose price is likely to shorten up considerably between now and mid March.

Both horses will make the cut if remaining fit. Weights published next week.
