TotalRed Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Put glue on Mignolets gloves & springs on his shoes & we will be fine .

Dan Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I reckon Caulker will start this - especially with the prospect of Fellaini playing. He won everything last season at our place. Allen probably deserves a start - perhaps for Can. We really need to beat these barstards.
fred milne Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'd go with the same XI as last night but perhaps with Caulker instead of Toure. Benteke to come on if it isn't working.I reckon Caulker will start this - especially with the prospect of Fellaini playing. He won everything last season at our place. Allen probably deserves a start - perhaps for Can. We really need to beat these barstards. Can isn't getting dropped/rested for Utd.

Benteke to come on if it isn't working. Can isn't getting dropped/rested for Utd. No probably not. I'm just thinking of where Allen plays if he comes back in. He probably won't. I'd be happy with the same front 6.
McBain Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 No probably not. I'm just thinking of where Allen plays if he comes back in. He probably won't. I'd be happy with the same front 6.If we go more 433 then I'd be happy to see Allen in for say Ibe. But I reckon he stays on the bench Last March against the mancs Allen was in good form, started the game, and if memory serves was the worst on the pitch, and that was saying something
Case Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Same team as last night except Lovren (if fit) for Kolo, and possibly Allen for Milner.
Barnesy_10 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I think Lucas will probably play and the same players as last night up front. Smalling was all over the shop against Newcastle with his defending and having plenty of movement up top will bring that out of him again hopefully.
Swipe Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I’ll be confident if we play like we did last night. At the top end anyway. They’ll surely start Fellaini. I reckon Lucas might come back in.
mofus77 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'd really like it if we won this.Me too, it would please me greatly.
Jarg Armani Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 They have more quality in goal and up front than us, ie where it matters. If we just swapped keepers we'd probably win 3-0.
Conrad Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 when's coutinho back? I take it no chance of him or sturridge for sunday?
muleskinner Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 when's coutinho back? I take it no chance of him or sturridge for sunday?4-5 weeks for Coutinho from the injury, Sturridge hasn't yet trained 2 days in a row (as of last week)
Conrad Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 4-5 weeks for Coutinho from the injury, Sturridge hasn't yet trained 2 days in a row (as of last week)get the impression Klopp's losing patience with Sturridge. So annoying we can't get him on the pitch
Hassony Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 get the impression Klopp's losing patience with Sturridge. So annoying we can't get him on the pitch If you have a Lamborghini that is costing you £20k to insure but you can only use it a couple of times a year as it keeps breaking down you'd lose patience with it as well
scoose Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Got a ticket so proper excited here. Hope Allen doesnt start. Every time he's been up against fellaini before he's been bullied to f*** and it seems like the refs now think its ok cos he always does it.
realtarragona Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 If they have any sense they'll play direct up to Fellaini to prevent us being able to press. If they try and slowly play it around the back and in midfield like the regularly do then should play into our hands. I think I'd play Allen ahead of either Milner or possibly Ibe (and use Milner further forward) and maybe Caulker for Toure depending on whether Kolo can manage 2 games in a week. Would probably play Ward as well. Don't suppose there's any chance of Sturridge making the squad?
muleskinner Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 (edited) Get into them from the first whistle like last night. Just don't gift them goals. We owe them. Edited January 14, 2016 by muleskinner
marty Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Get into them from the first whistle like last night. Just don't gift them goals. We owe them.they'll just play it long and bypass our pressing like they did last season at Anfield....we struggle against sides when they do this as we dont have enough creativity
ThewaytoRome Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 they'll just play it long and bypass our pressing like they did last season at Anfield....we struggle against sides when they do this as we dont have enough creativity We didn't press at all last season
Dan Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 The Mancs were dreadful when Stoke pressed them high. They are fragile and can be got at.
