Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Word Gonna be in Liverpool for this - anyone around to meet up to watch it or if not best places to go? Let's be victorious!!!
lfc003 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Assuming Hendo's fit enough to start i'd probably bring Lucas in for Lallana
Hassony Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 West Hampshire? Am I missing a joke here or is this just a typical Macca f*** up?
psl Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I'm guessing auto correct combined with alcohol. Happy new year.
Cisse Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Lucas for Hendo and Ibe for Bobby. I'm guessing we will then see a lot of changes for Exeter.
stonty Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Lord Hampton of Wick Possibly our last game at the The Boleyn Ground
Nathan Explosion Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Straight outta Hampshire, crazy wigwearer named Macca. From the gang called Wiggerz with Attitude.
Conrad Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 West Hampshire 297-0 declared Liverpool 41 all out (Brooking 5-16)
Stevie H Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 sturridge and henderson not travelled apparently. that's annoying.
McBain Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Good job really. Sturridge would probably trip on a jellied eel and slip a disc
DJS Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Sturridge been in full training for 2 weeks & is 'fit' for this but Klopp not risking him, according to Bascombe. No Henderson, Milner, Sturridge, Origi, I'd go with: Mig, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Coutinho, Ibe, Firmino, Benteke Subs:Bogdan, Kolo, Smith, Allen, Teixeira, Lallana I cant even think of a 7th sub. Brannagan maybe? Or Jerome Sinclair, but i guess he wouldnt be an option.
darucs112 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Liverpool omit fit Daniel Sturridge from selection for West Ham in bid to avert risk of further absencesJurgen Klopp resists temptation to select injury-blighted striker as he focuses on conditioning to reduce susceptibility to muscle strainsBy Chris Bascombe4:06PM GMT 01 Jan 2016Daniel Sturridge will not make his Liverpool return against West Ham on Saturday as Jürgen Klopp resists the chance to use his star striker.Liverpool will also be without captain Jordan Henderson as Klopp takes an injury hit side to East London.Sturridge is fit again and has trained for the past two weeks, but Klopp has reiterated he is not prepared to risk further absences for the 26-year-old.He believes strengthening his resistance to muscle problems will yield long-term results, even though it leaves him short of firepower in the short-term.It means Christian Benteke is once more the only available centre-forward, as was the case at Sunderland in midweek.Benteke has responded with the winning goal in the last two fixtures against Leicester and Sunderland.Henderson’s absence is due to a recurrence of the heel pain that kept him out earlier in the season, which was aggravated in the game in the north east. Liverpool are assessing how long he will be missing as they seek a permanent remedy for another long-standing issue.Klopp had hinted earlier this week he was tempted to use Sturridge. “Maybe Daniel could come back if we try,” he said on Thursday. Instead, with so many vital games on the horizon, the manager continues to be cautious.Sturridge may now come into contention for the Capital One Cup semi-final with Stoke on Tuesday, or the FA Cup third-round tie at Exeter next Friday.Liverpool are also without James Milner, Divock Origi and Martin Skrtel this weekend.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...in-bid-to-avert-risk-of-further-absences.html

Cam Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Keeping Sturridge fit for the transfer window? Kinda like when you want to sell a car but won't let anyone take a test drive.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Go a bit mad with 4-1-4-1 Smith and Ibe wide left and right swinging it into Benteke and backed up by Moreno and Clyne. Coutinho and Firmino as pair behind Benteke. Lucas DM and automatically subbed if he crosses half way.
baja the hut Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Keeping Sturridge fit for the transfer window? Kinda like when you want to sell a car but won't let anyone take a test drive. Get the weird feeling he might be sold this window too.
Red Yoda Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 ---------------------Mignolet Clyde-------Lovren------Sakho-------Moreno --------------Lucas-----------Can Ibe------------------Coutinho------------Smith ----------------------Benteke I do like Rory's idea of Ibe and Smith using pace out wide and getting the ball into Benteke, but I would be nervous of leaving just Lucas as the cover. Can has the legs to be more box to box, instead of Firmino who wouldn't necessarily work back just as much.
Cam Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Whoa, I was advocating the Clyne/Ibe and Moreno/Smith attacking axis a couple of weeks back. I demand to be treated as the tactical genius I clearly am. It would be a slight shock tactic to use away from home so perhaps even more likely to work. I also think Ibe deserves a start plus it'll be good rotation.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Sorry Cam, you've rumbled me Agree. They've had issues at home too. Quick breaks could be good. @Red Yoda, agree that it looks light back there but having Coutinho inside Smith and Firmino inside Ibe means those players should have options inside if the wide angle is not on. The mandatory substitution of Lucas still stands. Edited January 1, 2016 by Rory Fitzgerald
