Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Away in Russia is never nice. A draw isn't the worst we could come away with. Temperature is forecast to hover around freezing point during the day this week Sion +2 7ptsLFC 0 3ptsRubin -1 2ptsBordeaux -1 2pts Sion are at home to Bordeaux who they already beat away, so let's assume they don't lose this. That would really mean it's btw us & Rubin to go into the k/o stages. After that Bordeaux (H) 26/11 & Sion (A) 10/12 while Rubin are home to Sion & away to Bordeaux Then we play Palace at home on Sunday which won't be easy, they're a place below us but haven't won in 3

Cisse Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Play the C-team again and then go for Bolasies jug on sunday!

Candystore Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I wouldn't mind us going out of the EL. Play the fringe players and see how it goes. Oneish game a week would give Klopp much more time to work with the players and make us better in the PL. As things stand, only City and Arsenal look nailed on for the CL slots in the PL so I think we've got a decent chance.
kop205 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I wouldn't mind us going out of the EL. Not this again. f***ing win it.
Benzo-13 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Not this again. f***ing win it.Yep.. Win the thing.
Candystore Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Not this again. f***ing win it.Not saying I wouldn't want us to win it but given the number of games we'd have to play to win it and with the PL being so open I'd like the focus to be on the PL.
Red Yoda Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 ---------------------Mignolet Clyne------Skrtel-----Sakho-----Moreno -------------Lucas----------Can Ibe-----------------Coutinho-------Firmino ---------------------Benteke Bogdan, Randall, Lovren, Allen, Lallana, Milner, Origi Go with the strongest line look to try to put the game to bed early then rest three players with the substitutions.
David Hodgson Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Teixeira is not in the Europe League squad.AAaaah. Why do PEOPLE keep forgetting this !!!Not saying I wouldn't want us to win it but given the number of games we'd have to play to win it and with the PL being so open I'd like the focus to be on the PL.Both are do-able. Its a far more important competition than either domestic cup. The key is to still be in the competition come February. By then we'll know if top 4 is on or not. If we're in a great position, then fine, we just put out a second team in the UEFA. But if we're well off the pace then we should be going all out to win that cup.

growler Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I'd rather us ignore fa cup and league cup for the uefa cup if we had to choose. We don't though - so let's go out and try to win everything.

I know what you're trying to get at, but read that again. "If we get to the knockout rounds, then if we're in a great position, put out a second team in the UEFA Cup"
Barnesy_10 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Tempted to say we play Lucas in this game and not play him in the league at the weekend to save risking him getting a fifth yellow card and being banned for the City game. We need him more for City away than Palace at home
Ed the Wool Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 So is Michael FishAnd so is Ian McCaskill.

We need him more for City away than Palace at homewe've conceded shed loads to palace lately, i'd rest lucas here, play him sunday.

rednotdead Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Yep.. Win the thing.Latest research shows that playing in Europe or Champions League has no negative impact on domestic league performance. And teams tend to do worse rather than better in their domestic league rather than better after being eliminated.
