Hosting providers

I've got a couple clients who use Blacknight for their web services and up to recently I've never had any real problems. They've been by far and away the best hosting provider I've dealt with in the last 15 years but in the last couple of days Blacknight had some serious security and technical issues that has taken their network down and our services offline.

 

I'm wondering has anyone any experience of either Google Cloud or Amazon EC2 and / or thoughts about:

• Their suitability for Wordpress driven and Moodle sites that are quite video heavy
• Costs - Their pricing model is designed to confuse

And input would be really appreciated.
