He was arrested purely because he was part of the investigation and released without any charge as was expected - the police, even when arresting him, made it very clear that he was not suspected of any wrong doing. Are you auditioning for the Daily Mail?

I loved Cisse just a shame he didn't reach the heights that he did in France.. I remember watching a YouTube vid of his Auxerre days and was convinced he would tear up the prem. We should have gone for Drogba instead.

The only shot that I can remember him placing rather than blooting was that goal against Everton and it was a beaut.

He did alright when he went back to Marseille and in Greece. Just not good enough for a club like us. Still had a fairly decent career

Knew he wouldn't cut it with us from his first few games. He had a terrible first touch. For a striker that's a serious, and unresolvable, problem.

The bit at the end of the Chelsea semi and we were desperate for somebody to take the ball into the corner and waste a few seconds and instead he had a shot from something like 40 yards.

His 1-on-1s were the thing that excited me most about his signing. Half his goals in France seemed to be beating the high offside trap, running from almost the halfway line, bearing down 1-on-1 with the 'keeper.

 

He rarely got a 1-on-1 with us, partly down to deeper defences, but when he did he just turned to jelly. Or Djelly.
