Sturridge, even if fit, will be kept for Southampton wont he?

Rodgers said 2 games per week is not feasible for him at the moment.

I wouldn't risk Sturridge. Give Origi another start and hope there's improvement. Get someone other than Lallana in wide areas, make fewer poor decisions and give Can some training wheels.

I can't see Sturridge starting Vs Rubin. Listening to Klopp it was precautionary leaving him out V spurs, because he didn't want to risk worsening the injury. If that's the case, you aren't going to suddenly overload the player by asking to do two big shifts in 4 day period.

Think he will start Lucas as he sees him as his lynchpin. If you look at what he did at Dortmund he didnt really rotate and always had a midfield destroyer ie Bender.

Origi's scoring in this, I'm sticking cash on it;

had our 2 best chances on sat and Klopps belief in him will get him on the scoresheet

Lallana had about 10 touches in the box on Saturday. Coutinho 1, Milner 0. So....you know.

The problem is creating more space for him and supporting him when he's closed down. It's a consistent issue when Coutinho plays behind the striker that he doesn't get in the area often enough. He should be ripping Kazan's defenders new holes in places they aren't required.

what I meant, was that if Ibe comes in for Coutinho, I expect him and Origi to attack from wide and Lallana needs to attack the box for some simple tap ins when either forward is looking to cross/pull back

nothing fancier than that

If Sturridge trains this week, i'd be starting him.

We play 6 games in 17 days and at some stage he's going to need to play twice a week. The injury that forced him out of the Spurs game was a impat injury rather than a muscle strain so i think he'll be alright. Plus It's a game we need to win.
