I had a mate who was a Chester fan and a year or so after Chester moved from Sealand Road we broke into the old ground to have a look around. Although it was derelict by then, everything was still there. We found the old physio room, managed to open up a few cabinets and found a load of old physio reports and x-rays. My mate went all misty eyed as he could remember the injuries we were looking at. We nicked as much as we could and he took it all home. And one for pub quiz fans, Mr Walken operated on my knees as well as many of the Chester players around that time.

played at witton albion's old central ground a few times, one in a testimonial match for a witton player against a man city team including paul lake, andy hinchcliffe, david white and that lot. it's a sainsbury's and a matalan these days.

When we played swansea a couple of years ago we ended up at the Vetch having put Swansea FC in the sat nav.

 

Is a caravan park or something.

Don't like seeing football pitches going to the dogs. I was down at the woods in Holywood on Sunday, and the training pitches at Redburn are all over-grown. Very sad sight.
