Not a match thread, I dont have the kudos to start one of them this early.

Got a phone call at work today offering me all expenses paid hospitality for this game, hotel also thrown in

Obviously said yes straight away, but whats the chances of me either,

A: being able to keep my big gob shut if we score.

B: being able to contain myself when we hammer them.

C: getting out alive after A&B

Any forumites got any experience of the above as a point of reference??

Turned down tickets at their end at Old Trafford few seasons back. Couldn't stomach it. Few peeps on here said it was far too unpleasant an experience.

We ended up beating them 3-0 though. f***ing destroyed them.

So, swings and roundabouts!

Don't ever remember beating them 3-0 at their place.

Advice: If we score you find yourself jumping out of your seat, try and check yourself from going "Yeaaahhhh" to "What the f***, how did they score that, for f*** sake !!"

You get to stand up and shout and rave but you might just disguise your allegiance.

This sort of thing gets an airing every year. There can't be many left who haven't sat with united fans at old Trafford when we play them.

The chances of actually being punched must be quite slim.

How many of us, would actually physically attack a Man U fan who celebrated a goal next to us at Anfield. I'd call them nasty names but wouldn't risk getting arrested and banned from the ground.

I'm with you on that.

Two seasons ago.. Gerrard could have had a hattrick of penalties... We could have won about 7-0

I remember being in the away end and it was f***ing ace.. Then Suarez signed my match ticket to put the icing on the cake

Season before last, Gerrard scored two pens and missed a third. They had Moyes. We had fun.

If you're in their end don't do it

Is right. I was at a home game a few years back when they scored and this divvy bird jumped up screaming and waving her hands around amongst silent wounded Liverpool fans in the Anny Road. She was with her idiot boy friend who was draped in red and thought his manc girlfriend would keep her gob shut. The next couple of minutes were terrible, in the end they got up and left, I remember praying quietly that nobody would gob at her or worse, she just about got out in one piece, if that had been a man they'd have f*cking batered him, too many people in one small space for there not to be a head case or two..

Libero, don't do it unless you're 100% certain you can grin and look happy if the mancs score.

I remember the match where Giggs scored at Anfield and there was a couple who must have been in their 50's in the lower centenary toward the Kop who both jumped up... They got so much s*** from nearby fans and word spread and it got quite heated before they got whisked off down the steps and chucked out.

This.

And having to do this takes all the fun out of being there in the first place. Just watch it on telly in a pub full of reds.

When you say hospitality, you mean in a box or just in padded seats out with the slightly wealthier neanderthals?

I'd risk it if I was in a box - other than that, not a fckin chance.

If/when we score, if you're out with them and you so much as twitch, someone will try and have you out.
