Surprised there isn't a thread for this yet.

Hoping for a convincing home win. Also hoping Bournemouth stick to their principles and try to out-football us.

Moreno in for Gomez probably and would be nice to see Firmino start, in place of Lallana. Otherwise, as you were.

Could give us the chance of going to Emirates with a nice points cushion over Arsenal.

It's pretty much a must win, given Rodger's position

Brendan might be seen as being under pressure but it's ludicrous if that's really the case.

There was a decision to be made in the summer and if he was to be sacked, it should've been then. Having decided to keep faith in him and after giving him all the scope to make the changes he wanted to, it'd be pure absurdity now if he wasn't allowed to see that job through. All the back room changes, all his own signings and decisions. Must be backed now.

Firmino for Lallana definitely, maybe Ings for Ibe as well and go with a diamond. Should keep the back four the same.

This but a diamond would mean I'd prefer Moreno in at lb to provide better width

He's no wing back but he's shown he can be decent from a deeper starting point

----------------------Mignolet

Clyne------Skrtel--------Lovren--------Gomez/Moreno

-----------------------Can

---------Henderson-------------Milner

Firmino------------Benteke-----------Coutinho

I'm not sure about the left back spot, Gomez did really well against Stoke but it would be really beneficial if we had a left footed left back in there, purely to stretch the opposition further up the pitch, Gomez does deserve to start again but Moreno would help to widen the pitch and create more space for the likes of Coutinho, Milner and Benteke.

Any chance we can pack in this s***?

I won't be the one doing it, but there'll be serious baying for his blood if he doesn't beat the league#s minnows at home. Big difference going into the tough run of games with six points out of six versus going in with a poor performance behind you.

It is. He's our main creative outlet.

Lallana and Ibe will be a little lucky to keep their places.

I'd like to see Firmino start, and possibly Can, but not in that formation, but a diamond. Leaves us reliant on the FBs for width though

Hopefully we can have some fluidity to our formation, there will probably be moments in the game where they both would be advantageous.

Coutinho wide in a front three is a massive waste of his strengths.

Allows him to cut in on his right foot and curl beautiful goals past helpless flailing keepers though

apart from a big win, I'm looking forward to seeing major improvement in the way we use Benteke

Rodgers will need to be certain this happens, given his position

This line up but in a diamond, with Coutinho behind Benteke and Firmino.

First port of call here is getting people closer to Benteke. He was isolated too much at Stoke so any ball he won or contested, just went to a defender anyway. In fairness, we started the second half higher up the park and I would expect us to play more advanced at home to Bournemouth, as opposed to Stoke away, where staying a bit deeper is more understandable.

Nervy performance and chance of a draw. Wouldn't be penning an easy victory for us.

I'd be a bit nervous if Bournemouth came and played deep, with ten men behind the ball.

Can't see them doing that though, it's completely alien to their usual methods and Eddie Howe's philosophies.

As the season goes on, if they're in the sh*t, he may compromise his methods a little but surely not yet.

Dropping Gomez after that performance on Sunday is daft. Moreno has got it all on to regain the managers trust after his performances towards the end of last season. If he'd played last week I'm fairly certain we would have got beat.

Don't think Firmino will start but he might be on the bench.

I'm not even factoring in the opposition, I'm looking at us. Its just what we do, follow up a good away win with a nervy home performance against a team we should beat. Its just something in the back of my mind from years and years of seeing this situation ala Boro in 2nd game of the season in 2008.
