Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted August 1, 2015 Author Posted August 1, 2015 Toady treated like a dog again. Indeed, 2 years ago we had Toady & we nearly won the League. Last year it was Toady but then changed to Today and look what happened
ali Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Sky Sports surrender La Liga rights to BT Sport after massive £11m overspend BT Sport look likely to snaffle the live rights to show La Liga Sky Sports' Premier League overspend has left the door ajar BT have already monopolised the Champions and Europa League market By Charles Sale for the Daily Mail Published: 11:04, 1 August 2015 | Updated: 13:20, 1 August 2015 A further sign that Sky Sports massively overspent in paying £11million a match for their Premier League coverage is the fact they ceded the Spanish football contract to arch-rivals BT Sport without a fight. It is understood that Sky made a far bigger first-round offer for La Liga, but were upset enough about the tender going to a second round that they withdrew from a contest BT believed they had no chance of winning. With Spanish clubs Barcelona and Real Madrid being such big TV attractions in the English market, cost-cutting after that PL gamble can be the only reason for Sky’s surrender. It is a further blow to Sky, who have seen their European coverage decimated for the coming season. BT Sport will screen both the Champions League and Europa League next season after signing an unprecedented £897million three-year deal. A minimum of 12 Champions League games and 14 Europa League matches will be available to anyone to watch for free via a new channel called BT Sport Showcase. Each participating British team will be shown at least once. Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal will take part in next season’s Champions League. Manchester United and Celtic will also be in the tournament providing they successfully negotiate their qualifying ties. Ferdinand, the former United and England defender, has been unveiled as a lead analyst for the channel. Former Liverpool captain Gerrard, who is set to move to LA Galaxy, was surprisingly unveiled as a pundit for the broadcaster. Former Tottenham and West Ham manager Harry Redknapp, Glenn Hoddle, the former England boss, and retired referee Howard Webb have also joined the broadcaster. Gary Lineker has been unveiled as a presenter for the channel alongside current host Jake Humphrey. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-3182167/Sky-Sports-surrender-La-Liga-rights-leaving-door-open-pouncing-BT.html
Billy Dane Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Nice goal by the Ox against Chelsea. Title thread should be Toady's.

Especially on European nights, will they be able to offer every CL match as Sky did?

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 kits and stuff quite how Norwich manage that as their 3rd kit I dunno http://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2015/aug/04/premier-league-football-kits-2015-16-style-new-season-fashion-lauren-cochrane-sport-barney-ronay
DJS Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 When would there ever be a situation where norwich need to wear a third shirt, largely consisting of yellow and green, because their first kit, mainly consisting of yellow and green, clashes with the opposition's?

Behind Enemy Lines Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Bit unsure how good BT's coverage can be, with only 3 channels. Especially on European nights, will they be able to offer every CL match as Sky did?A few additional channels seem to be popping up & they do have a Red Button option for additional streams tooGuess we'll have a better idea in a week or two once the later stages of the qualifiers kick in
