9emfire Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Just couldn't wait. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Bentekehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvDUh9sE6TQ Lots think he may not fit in but just looking at his track records in EPL, what more can we ask for. His goal scoring exploits are hardly flukes if he has been doing them year after year on.
Redray Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 He's not just going to do ok is he? Either going to be brilliant or a massive flop.
Falconhoof Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I reckon he'll score loads, right from the off.I'm basing this on the way we've signed so many rubbish forwards in recent years. Sooner or later we are bound to hit the jackpot with one. Might as well be Benteke.

Sooner or later we are bound to hit the jackpot with one. Might as well be Benteke. If he reminas fit he'll score 25 league goals
RafaShanks Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 He's not just going to do ok is he? Either going to be brilliant or a massive flop. With strikers we don't do grey areas. They are either s*** hot or just s***. Lets hope it's not the latter. Don't think it will be.
psl Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Because recent history shows that medicals with strikers are always formalities.
Cam Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Still a Villa player. Could we forumites be done for tapping-up?

lfc4eva99 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 We did used to have god up front We should get God to train these guys.
Nathan Explosion Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 We could have the holiest front line and defense then.
surf Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 If he reminas fit he'll score 25 league goals i'd prefer if you added "every season" to that
Red Yoda Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I didn't and still don't think he is the perfect fit for our style of play, that doesn't mean that I don't see him as a quality forward, he is and he most definately is a massive improvement on some of our forward options. Fitness aside he will score goals and do well for us. Can't wait to see him with the Liver bird on his shirt. Quality forward.
Hassony Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 We should get God to train these guys.because he was the epitome of professionalism and such a hard working trainer
Boca Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 We don't want any messing around with squad numbers here now either. Give him number 9 and let's see him own it.
matty Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 He'd better be f***ing good because I'm in no mood to go easy on these gobs***es.
Sion Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 We're playing awayI don't know what is our style of play, we'll play it long anyway.Today isn't the day to find you shying away. You'll be playing for West Ham next May. Benteke (Benteke)Benteke (Benteke)He'll be goneIn a year or two
matty Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Benteke 'nother little piece of my heart now baby(Break it) Break another little piece of my heart now honeyYou now you've got it if it makes you feel good.
Hobbsie Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Benteke's meant for scoring,And scoring's what he'll do,One of these days BentekeWill score more goals than you
Flasher Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Would Torres (at his peak) have worked in this side? I think Big Ben is similar to what Torres was then. If we move the ball quickly, press quickly (with others) it could work very well.
yellow jumper Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 he's nowhere near peak torres in style or ability.
Molby Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Would Torres (at his peak) have worked in this side? I think Big Ben is similar to what Torres was then. If we move the ball quickly, press quickly (with others) it could work very well. if we get the ball forward quick, into a channel, and he legs it there in anticipation, shoulders his man off and brings our guys in to play, then races in to another position to anticipate an assist, then he'll be like Torres and he'll be good for us he can also sometimes just take the ball on himself from the ball in to the channel and score those are his main jobs in build up play
Cobs Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Would Torres (at his peak) have worked in this side? seriously?
