Really saddened when I read this yesterday. 66 ffs. Horrible horrible disease.

What a player & character he was throughout the 70s.

Yeah, I saw that. Really, really sad. He played 5 times for England. 5.

 

He was a great character, and on his day brilliant to watch. Scored a belter against us once.

He was a regular in one of my pubs back in the day. When he wasn't over the road in the bookies.

 

Very good player. His performance on Superstars is the stuff of proper legend though.
