DJDunk Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Looks confident and composed in front of goal this lad, welcome addition.
Barnesy_10 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Offers plenty of movement, something we have missed from our striker's last season..
Nerik Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Yep a good addition. Still think we need a more experienced striker to be added to our squad (assuming that Balotelli, Borini and possibly Lambert will all leave).
Gravy Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Two players in, plus Origi, and not a penny spent from the war chest. Or would that be the piggy bank? Anyone, gotta be a good signing as an upgrade on Borini

DazzlaJ Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Ings will cost a fair bit. For us anyway4-5m Tribunal fee I would reckon.
Tones Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 4-5m Tribunal fee I would reckon.Hopefully. But Sturridge went to Chelsea for something like 6m and that was a fair few years back.
The Hitman Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Decent return last year enough to suggest he's better than Borini. Don't recall seeing him play.
Barnesy_10 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Decent return last year enough to suggest he's better than Borini. Don't recall seeing him play.We did say the same about Lambert and Aspas this time last year...
Cobs Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Danny, we've been going so crazyLately, nothing seems to be going rightBalo, why do you have to play so slowYou're so...We've been waiting to be No.1 too longBut if you're Ings, Ings, Ings, Ings, Ings, IngsFor the goals you bring won't mean a thingUnless you're Ings, Ings, Ings, Ings
Stanley Leisure Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Good player. Used to the league, good touch, decent finisher. Young, too. A marked improvement on Lambert/Borini.
5InIstanbul Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Good player. Used to the league, good touch, decent finisher. Young, too. A marked improvement on Lambert/Borini.Definitely. He's also very mobile, which is a further improvement. Lambert just isnt and Borini seemed to run around a fair bit achieving very little in the process.
Maldini Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I think he'll do alright for us, he's not world class or close to it but he brings a bit of intensity to our front line that was sorely missing last season. I've said it before but he reminds me of Craig Bellamy. Not as good a dribbler but he's busy like him, never stops running. Even if he is only an option off the bench it's good to have someone like that coming on against tired legs.
Stanley Leisure Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Definitely. He's also very mobile, which is a further improvement. Lambert just isnt and Borini seemed to run around a fair bit achieving very little in the process.Agreed. Don't understand the ire around this signing. Well, I do, but it's unfair anyway. You want someone like him as an option, providing decent movement for Coutinho's trickery. We had nothing like that, last season. Lambert's like an oil tanker and Borini is braindead.
The Hitman Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Based of having watched 3 minutes of a 5 minute Youtube clip, I'm on board with the Bellamy comparison. He also looks decent in the air, which is nice.
Cobs Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 if he was a youngster already on our books and we'd loaned him last season to Burnley and he'd scored 11 PL goals we'd probably be quite happy to have him back. That's where I am with this. Probably quite happy.

Cobs Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 in reality we'd have been screaming to recall him around November
crisps Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) Lot of my Burnley fan mates really like him as a player (maybe not now though ), decent lad too, done quite a lot with the community and stuff round here... Think he'll do well but still a top striker needed too. Edited June 8, 2015 by crisps
