I'm not sure if this is on the TV in the UK, but it is a show that is the pride of the right in the US. It features the Duggar family in Arkansas who have had 19 children and belong to some weird sect who believes in female submission etc. They are now onto five grandchildren too.

 

After becoming an icon for the right as a wholesome family and the eldest son took up a role in a top post at the Family Research Council; a horribly sexist and homophobic group with a ton of hate an baggage. Well guess what? The eldest son, Josh Duggar, has admitted to sexually molesting five underage girls when he was 15, including a few of his sisters.

 

His father, Jim Bob Duggar, let him slide for a year and then reported it to their pastor where they "prayed on it" and then he reported it to local law enforcement. Local law enforcement gave him a "stern talking to". The copper who did this was busted for child pornography and then got let out but subsequently busted again for it and is now serving a 60 year term.

 

These right wing nut jobs in the US have so many skeletons that it boggles the mind. They love to parade their morality when in reality they have these massive and wicked secrets, a lot of which are exacerbated by their denial of reality and their prejudice against rationally thinking people.

 

Interestingly, Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, has chosen to defend this scumbag.
