Credit Card Fraud - a question

We got a letter to our house - which we have owned for nearly 3 years. And it contained a credit card for someone who doesn't live at the house. We called the bank that had issued it, they blocked it, we destroyed it and despite comitting to follow up with us, nothing.

 

Then we got another this morning, containing a credit card from the same bank to the same person. Having spoken to them today they have blocked it again and said they'd need to speak to the customer about why someone would be registering a card to our address.

 

 

Got to be honest it has me a bit spooked about why someone would do this and the effect it might have on my, and the house's, credit rating.

 

Has anyone got any insight or had a similar experience??
