My friend's wife is PA to a really busy executive type, my friend is a super salesman and is well versed in the tricks used to gain access to people in control of an organisation to sell their product, anyway..

 

His wife is really professional, well spoken and smart, she can politely bat 'a ringer' off with ease.

 

'Hi, can you put me through to Ian please?'

'Who's calling?'

'My name is Ian too, we've been missing each others calls for two days'.

'I'm sorry he's not available'

'He'll take my call I promise, can you put me through please?'

'As I said, I'm sorry he's not available.'

'But he called me on my mobile just this morning!'

'Well return the call then, if he called you then you must have his number?'

'I've mislaid it'

'It will be on your phone'

'Is it 07765445321'

'No that isn't his number'

Oh why don't you f*ck off you fat c*nt!'
